Creative Space

For the past few weeks, I've been waking up thirty minutes earlier than my usual time so that I can work on my dream of singing and songwriting.  When I get up, I head straight to a small space that's right in front of our fireplace.  We don't have a separate room in our apartment for music and singing, so this spot has become my "go to" place to work on my dream.  I hope one day to have a music room of my own, but for now, I am thankful for my little creative space in front of the fireplace.

So tell me, where is your creative space in your home?

  1. Before I got married I used to go in my closet, it was a big closet lol. I had a chair and my books and journals, music etc. Now that I'm married and living in a new space it's been hard to find a creative space. I hope I can find a special place and get back into my "mode" again. :-)

  2. I know what you mean, Amber. When I first got married, it was hard for me to find a creative space. It wasn't until we moved to our new place that I finally found one little space to call my own. I hope you can find your creative space soon! :)

  3. How beautiful. I love that picture above the fireplace.

My husband and I bought a house a couple years back, and I was so excited to get my music room. I love it. A cozy chair is my favorite place. I use the space to write, blog, journal, write songs, and just relax. A creative space is so important.

Good luck in your songwriting endeavor. I know it's a hard path to walk and putting your own stuff out there is SCARY!

    1. Hi Jamie! What a blessing to have your own music room. That's awesome!

And yes, it is quite scary to put my music out there for the world to hear. I feel so vulnerable at times, but it is so worth it!
